Trip to the Waddenzee
 

Due to COVID & Brexit limitations it’s not feasible to organize the yearly Woolverstone Northsea crossing and also the NSJ concert is cancelled.

We made an alternative trip proposal to sail from the Roompot in Zeeland to Oudeschild on Texel and plan this in the NSJ weekend from 9 till 12 July.

(Only if COVID situation allows us to continue with this trip)
This trip has an equal distance compared to the Woolverstone trip and has some nice challenges:

  • You have to deal with tidal changes with strong currents around Hoek van Holland and when approaching the Waddenzee.
  • Maasmond crossing with lot of ships going in & out the harbor of Rotterdam.
  • Continue sailing during the night.
  • Navigating around 3 windmill parks near Ijmuiden

    When/How Long?

    Registration is 3 to 15 June via event calendar

    Event details are as follows:

  • Th 8 July All boats sail to the Roompot marina
  • Fr 9 July Depart round lunchtime to the Northsea lock
  • Sa 10 July Arrive between 7:00 & 9:00 AM in Oudeschild Texel, have a beer and dinner in Oudeschild
  • Su 11 July Sail back to maybe Scheveningen
  • Ma 12 July Sail to own home harbor

    • Who?

    Planning of the trip organized by Ben Rademakers.

    Maximum including skippers 25 member will be needed (in case we rent an extra boat the maximum is 30)

    Where?

    If weather conditions are blocking this trip we will organize an alternative trip on the tidal waters of Zeeland & the Northsea.

    How Much?

    Cost price per person:

    Bunk fee 15 euro/night 60 Euro
    Food & drinks 30 Euro
    Diesel + Harbor 35 Euro
    ============================  
    Total 125 Euro

    In addition we plan a nice dinner in Texel estimation ~ 40 Euro
    This is a worse-case scenario which depends on the weather conditions (use motor y/n) & food luxury per boat
