Lemsteraak Waddenzee
 

A traditional sailing tour in the north of Holland Waddenzee
 

Lemsteraak are traditional Dutch sailing vessels, which have no keel but instead wings on the side of the boat needed when sailing close reach. The advantage is these vessels can sail in shallow waters and even stay over tide at low waters.

When/How Long?

Mid-August, 3 days.

Day 1 travel from Veldhoven, embarkment, initial sail
Day 2 sailing on the Wadden + stay at low-tide at sea
Day 3 return to port and Veldhoven

Who?

Anyone who want to experience sailing traditional vessels and falling on the Waddenzee sand during low-tide.

Approximately 5 people can join per event.

Where?

Friesland / Waddenzee. Approximately 3 hours’ drive from Veldhoven

How Much?

400 euro for boat rental, instruction, captain, including meals.
Travel by private car, share cost with the driver.
